UBIMET uses a dense weather station network. Data from more than 14.000 weather stations is continuously saved on our servers and processed for regional forecasts. UBIMET does not only use the public weather station networks, but also its own network, as well as private ones. This means that UBIMET has access to one of the largest weather data bases in the world.
UBIMET also uses satellite, weather radar, sounding and lightning data for its precise analyses and short-range forecasts. In order to keep a close eye on the weather world-wide, UBIMET uses several of the leading numerical weather forecast models. For local and regional forecasts, UBIMET has developed its own models, where the exact topography of the region is also incorporated.

UBIMET continuously verifies the quality of the forecasts with its own analysis and verification algorithms. This way, weak points in the numerical models are quickly identified and corrected. With our quality management program, we aim to constantly improve our products, so that we can always offer good and reliable weather information.
