This means we have a very extensive data base that includes information that is not available to other weather services. UBIMET also offers risk analysis, using the severe weather data base of the Severe Weather Centre in Austria, where for years, information about all severe weather events has been saved. Using this information, the frequency of severe weather events, such as storms, thunderstorms or heavy rain, can be calculated for every postal code area. Of course, UBIMET also has access to long-term measurement series and other climatological data.
In addition, UBIMET offers severe weather warnings for insurance companies. The warnings are customized to every postal code area, and are sent to the clients via sms, e-mail or fax. This way, you can warn your clients of potentially dangerous weather situations. Our logistic system guarantees high reliability and security for transmission of warnings and data. At the time being, more than 300.000 clients receive severe weather warnings from UBIMET via their insurance company.
