Being the operator of the Severe Weather Centre Austria, UBIMET is aware of its responsibility towards numerous companies, infrastructure operators, authorities and emergency services as well as more than 270.000 individuals. A well-trained team of meteorologists watches over the weather in Austria and in several other countries around the clock, 365 days a year. The current weather station data, radar images, satellite information and numerical weather models are continuously evaluated. If a severe weather event approaches a place, thousands of customers receive individualized warnings via sms, e-mail or fax within seconds.
Another advantage of the UBIMET severe weather warnings is the international scalability. Unlike several national weather services, we look outside the national borders and offer severe weather warnings for several countries in Europe and the rest of the world.
