GGV now operates around 60 of its own photovoltaic plants in the city of Groß-Gerau and beyond in the district. The biogas plant in Wallerstädten provides sustainably generated energy with a total electrical output of 1,240 kW. Its annual output of around 9 million kWh is sufficient to supply around 2,500 households with electrical energy. Approx. 10,000 t of CO2 are thus saved per year.
