About Stadtwerke Groß-Gerau Versorgungs GmbH:

From the region, for the region. With this guiding principle, the Stadtwerke Groß-Gerau Versorgungs GmbH (GGV), a subsidiary of the city of Groß-Gerau and the Überlandwerk Groß-Gerau, has been working successfully as a partner for energy since 2000. With concepts that were ahead of their time, a sustainable power supply with strong regional added value has been realized over the last 17 years.

GGV now operates around 60 of its own photovoltaic plants in the city of Groß-Gerau and beyond in the district. The biogas plant in Wallerstädten provides sustainably generated energy with a total electrical output of 1,240 kW. Its annual output of around 9 million kWh is sufficient to supply around 2,500 households with electrical energy. Approx. 10,000 t of CO2 are thus saved per year.
