Overview

It would be our honour to welcome you to our Weather Seminar Series conference. Spaces are limited for the high-level conference and networking event in Salzburg, therefore, we urge you to confirm your seat as quickly as possible to avoid any disappointment.

Seminar Series Schedule

THURSDAY, 13th September 2018

  • 12:00 - Arrival

    Arrival of delegates and optional lunch at Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron

  • 13:00 - Seminar Opening

    Welcome by Stefan Eisenbach and Philipp Schmaderer

  • 13:05 - Seminar Session 1

    • Including a guest speaker from Boeing discussing the future of drone freight delivery.

  • 15:15 - Coffee Break

  • 15:35 - Seminar Session 2

  • 17:00 - Transfer to Hangar 7 (Salzburg Airport)

  • 18:00 - Scenic Flight with the Red Bull DC-6

    by invitation of the Flying Bulls (weather permitting)

  • 20:00 - Dinner at Restaurant Brunnauer

  • 22:00 - Transfer back to the hotel

FRIDAY, 14th September 2018

  • 09:30 - Transfer to Hangar 7 (Salzburg Airport)

  • 10:00 - Seminar Session 3

    • Including a guest speaker from Austrian Airlines discussing modern cockpit management and emergency recovery.

  • 11:00 - Guided Tour of the Flying Bull hangars (Hangar 7 and Hangar 8)

  • 12:30 - Farewell Lunch

  • 13:30 - Transfer back to the hotel

Attendance Fee

A significant proportion of the costs will be borne by UBIMET, however, we do charge a seminar attendance fee of €150pp (+20% VAT if applicable). Once you have confirmed your intention to attend the seminar series an invoice will be issued. The payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice date.

Event And Hotel Address

The function is to be held at the Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, Red Bull Hangar-7 and airborne in the Red Bull DC-6. The addresses are as follows:

  • Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, Leopoldskronstraße 56-58, 5020 Salzburg
  • Hangar-7, Wilhelm-Spazier-Straße, Salzburg

Hotel Booking

The UBIMET Weather Seminar Series will be held at Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron and UBIMET has secured an exclusive rate of €150 for a single and €190 for a double room. Should you require a room for the event please book directly quoting “UBIMET Conference” by the 31st July.
